Round 2 of Renulek Spring Napkin done

I have enjoyed tatting round 2 of the Renulek Spring Napkin until I needed more thread on my shuttle and finishing off the round!  I didn't have a spare shuttle wound so had to cut the thread to wind the shuttle.  So I decided to wind spares for the next round :).

As for finishing round 2 off, this is my first big project so it took some maneuvering to tat the last join back to the start and finish it off.  In the end I had to fold the napkin so I was able to keep holding the thread the way I was taught to tat the rest of the round.  Hopefully I will get better at this before the last round for the napkin :).


Sorry!  I tried to take a better pic of the thread colour but ended up with a grayish background.  Must try the scanner next or take a pic outside :).

    Looking good! I was thinking this afternoon that on the next round I must wind a second shuttle before I begin as I have only one ball.

      Thanks Jane :). LOL I now have 3 shuttles wound ready as backup for round 3 :).

    Your doily is looking awesome!!! :) I had to learn the same thing about winding extra shuttles ahead of time when starting a larger project(or have 2 balls of thread, one for working and one for reloading). :)

      Thank you :). LOL I do have 1 spare ball of thread but it wasn't easily accessible - too lazy to move containers to locate the container that had the spare thread :).

    Looks really good to me, I can't tell that you've had any trouble with it! I'm tempted to join in myself, but I don't have the motivation to finish something so large. Best of luck, I will check back to see how you are progressing!

      Thanks Robin :). LOL beauty of having a faraway pic = no mistakes can be seen easily :). You should definitely join in :). I'm going to slowly work on mine and it will probably take me the rest of the year to finish. Planning to do other smaller projects in between :).
