Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

I can not believe that Christmas is in ~9 days!  Taking a break from the December Motif, I decided to try tat the Twinkle Twinkle pattern from Le Blog de Frivole.  First attempt turned out great.  Just need to weave in ends.

Second attempt not so great but still good :).  LOL I was watching cricket (The Ashes) and accidentally did 6 instead of 5!  Must pay attention with the next one I'm currently tatting :).

That's it for now.  Thanks for visiting my blog :).

Cheers,
Jenn :).

  1. Could you use the ends to hang up the star/snowflake instead of hiding them? It's a great pattern, I've made it too.

  2. Great idea Jane :). Might do just that :). Thanks for suggesting it :). Been procrastinating about weaving in ends so it's still not done :). Now I can just tie a knot and stiffen for our Christmas tree :).

  3. Jenn, how big is it? - size 20 thread? I've just unearthed a small glass bell, and I thought of making this star to sit over the top, perhaps with beads to hold it down - but I'm not sure whether it will be too big. Maybe I'd have to tat it in 40.

  4. Hi Maureen :). I used #10 crochet thread so it's a nice decent size :). It's about ~10cm wide :). Going to try again using #20 thread :).
