Recently there were talks about "Magic Square" on InTatters and Halibut04 provided a pattern for a 2 coloured Magic Square doily. InTatters is no longer available and I will try find the pattern on Craftree.

My Magic Square Doily |
This is an easy and fun pattern to tat. I was heading into the city to attend this month's Queensland Tatters meeting. I had to use an alternate train route and decided to tat this on the train. The pic above is the result of ~1 hour tatting on the train there and back :).
I am using Lizbeth #20 thread: White and Grape Dark (#645).
That's it for now. Thanks for visiting my blog :).
Cheers,
Jenn :).
I've seen photos of this on InTatters, but thought that keeping track of all the twists and turns looked rather complicated. You've done an awesome job so far, I'm sure it will look great when finished.
ReplyDeleteHi Robin :). Halibut04 shared a pic of the pattern on InTatters. It showed the path/order to tat a magic square :). It is fairly easy to follow in 2 solid colours :). Thanks for your kind words :).
DeleteThat looks wonderful!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you :).
DeleteNice work, Jenny !!!
ReplyDeleteI did not find it that easy & I do believe one of the reasons is having used a single colour. Or my brain is wired differently - I needed to keep cross-checking the diagram !
I've been working on a post about this (conceptualized a year back when I first made it,... but taking shape only now) - should be able to share in a few days hopefully :-)
Waiting eagerly for the completed square - Love the colours :-)))
Thanks muskaan :). I still have to check the diagram but was able to see how it flows in each triangle section :). I love the magic square you did in 4 colours :).
DeleteAwesome! I look forward to reading your post about this :).
